Events - Event View

Ride of 30+ miles (with options to ride about only 19 miles or 24 miles) at low to mid moderate pace starts at 9:00 at Lowellville Water Front Park. We will ride the Stavich Trail and nearby roads to the eastern end of the trail and back to view the moving Big Boy from a field/parking lot right next to the tracks on Lowellville Road (about 19 miles into the ride). We should be able to view Big Boy for at least a half mile in each direction as it goes by the parking lot. Those riders continuing will then ride about three miles on Lowellville Road to Downtown Struthers to catch Big Boy as it sits there. From there riders can either return to Lowellville via Lowellville Road or continue toward (but not to) Downtown Youngstown via Poland Avenue before making a u-turn on a side road and retracing our steps to Water Front Park. This route avoids hills. Festivities will be ongoing in Struthers all day, starting at 9:00. Bring a bike lock if you plan to walk away from your bike in Struthers.
